Pope John Paul.. We Send Our Prayers With You.. April 2nd, 2005
While I don`t speak of religion very often publicly, I am going to do so on this day. Most of you probably have heard, today at 9:37pm in rome, Pope John Paul II left this world to continue his journey on to reunite with the father. While I am Catholic myself, despite whatever your religion may be, John Paul has brought the world much in terms of a voice of peace, a man of inspiration, and a voice of morality. He showed values that are embraced in all major religions and in the people of this world no matter where you are. He has shown us not only how one should live, dedicated to helping others, but has also showed us how one can leave this world in strength, faith, and without fear. While he had been suffering a lot the past decade due to many issues, not the least of which is Parkinson`s disease, he still looked and moved forward with great strength and vision. He felt that suffering wasn`t a bad thing as american and other societies have made it out to be. He saw it as something that could bring us closer to God. He has been the Pope during a time when religion, faith, and morality seem to be a lost cause to much of our world and our youth. Yet the youth of the world were some of those who loved him the most. He had traveled more then any other Pope in the 2000+ years of the church, not because he had to, but because he wanted to see all of those who wouldn`t be able to see him otherwise. He lived his life selflessly and has given us all something to aspire to in our own lives. So he lived, enduring and inspiring. John Paul, our prayers are with you. May you find peace in your fathers loving arms.
